The TeleGo Chrome Extension is a convenient browser-based dialer that allows you and your
team to monitor incoming calls, view your call history, click-to-call from any phone number in
your browser, and send text messages to incoming callers instantly, all from your business
number!
Requirements to use the TeleGo Chrome Extension:
1. The Google Chrome browser
2, A Chrome Web Store account
3. A TeleGo User Portal account and extension
4. A TeleGo desk phone or TeleGo softphone app
How to use the TeleGo Chrome Extension
PIN THE EXTENSION TO YOUR BROWSER
Once the Chrome Extension has been installed from the Chrome Web Store, pin it to the right of your Chrome browser address bar.
LOGIN
Click on the TeleGo icon to right of your Chrome browser address bar, then click on the LOGIN button and you will be redirected to the TeleGo User Portal login page.
Once you login to the TeleGo Portal, you will automatically be logged into the Chrome Extension. Note that you must have valid extension assigned to your user account.
MAKE AN OUTGOING CALL
You can send an outgoing call to your phone through the Chrome Extension.
There are two ways to make an outgoing call through the TeleGo Chrome Extension:
1. Dial the number you'd like to call directly through the Chrome Extension. You can type the number or use your mouse to dial. Once you enter the number, the call will connect to your desk phone or your TeleGo softphone app.
2. You can also dial any phone number that appears in your Chrome browser with One Click Call.
To enable or disable One Click Call go to Settings > Click Enable One Click Call > Save. One Click Call should be enabled by default.
Once this is enabled, a TeleGo phone icon will appear next to any phone number on your browser when you hover over it with your mouse. You must then click on that icon to send the outgoing call to your desk phone or softphone.
Once you accept the call on your phone, the Chrome Extension will show Call In Progress and the duration of the call.
INCOMING CALLS / SMS QUICK REPLY
When you receive an incoming call, the caller information will show in the Chrome Extension.
If you have Pro Business SMS, you also have the option to send a text message directly to the incoming caller by clicking the blue "..." button.
You will then be taken to a screen where you can choose from a list of phone numbers that you'd like the text message to come from.
Once you select your outgoing phone number, you can choose from one of the pre-saved autoreplies or type a custom message to send to the caller.
CREATING CUSTOM AUTOREPLIES FOR SMS QUICK REPLY
You can create and save your own autoreply messages for SMS Quick Reply in the Chrome Extension.
Once you log into the TeleGo Customer Portal click on Pro Business SMS > Templates.
Click the ADD button at the top right of the screen to create a new template.
Fill out the Edit Template page and save. Make sure that Chrome Extension is selected under the Category section.
Once you save your custom template it will appear on your full template list.
Your custom template will also appear in the Quick Reply options in the Chrome Extension.
CRM CONTACT INTEGRATION
The Chrome Extension offers integration with Google, Facebook, HelpScout and more.
With this integration enabled, when there is an incoming call, the Chrome Extension will attempt to pull the incoming caller's information from your contact list. If it finds a match in your saved contacts, that match will open in a separate tab.
To set this up go to Settings > Click CRM Integration > Select your preferred CRM URL > Save.
